The Ophir Needles at over 12,000 feet elevation are a rugged part of the San Juan Mountain Range in southwest Colorado. This picture of an Aspen grove below the needles was taken in the Uncompahgre National Forest.

Photographer Jeff Goulden has combined his lifelong passion for photography and his love of the natural world, creating a portfolio that reveals nature in its pure and simple beauty.
