Description
This weathered Sub-Alpine Fir tree looks more dead than alive. It clings to the bare rock and receives sustenance from the few roots that reach the ground. Located at Ingalls Pass in the Alpine Lakes Wilderness of Washington State, it endures the heat of summer and the snow of winter. It is a true survivor.
